Western Minneapolis Residence Feel Comfort

This residence is actually a “remodeling” of an old family ranch. The team at U+B Architecture and Design did a great job in making the house more spacious and adding plenty of windows in order to ensure a great lighting throughout the day.








The building seems to blend in its natural environment (a beautiful large wood) due to the materials used for the exterior finishes. The villa is located in Western Minneapolis and it was designed for a couple and their two children who will certainly not get bored of these landscapes any time soon.

Living in the Villa with Woods and Stone

Home Design In The Middle of Nature

This is why a huge creative effort was needed in order to create this fantastic design with all the utilities included in a place surrounded by “185 hectares of forests and agricultural land”. Still, everything turned out great. The exterior design is something else and the interiors are beautiful and spacious. Have a pick at results in the pictures below!









This lovely estate was designed by Dutch architects Sluijmer & Van Leeuwen and is currently owned by the Utrecht Landscape Foundation. The villa represented a challenge from the very start. Building something in the middle of nature is not always easy, because the resources are sometimes scarce.

This House Designed by Boora Architects the Kitchel residence is located in Northwest Portland, Oregon. Surrounded by forest and lush landscape, this unusual home’s boomerang shape aligns with the terrain.








This house has 825-square-foot that includes a kitchen, a dining area, and a living room on the lower floor. A bedroom and office perch above in a dramatically contoured design, sparsely decorated loft. The most interesting part of this house is the 38-ft. bookshelf that extends from the bedroom, through the hallway and into the office area. Finally you can see from the pictures that a rich natural finish palette connects the house to its site and smoothes transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Cottage House Design

White walls, white pieces of furniture, white cushions .. yes, up to and including Marianne’s canoe is white. The only thing that is not white is the facade of the cottage house that is red.

Cottage houses are for those people who are seeking simplicity and the tranquility of nature. Cottages originated in Medieval Europe as housing for farm workers families, and they were built of stone or inexpensive local materials such as thatch. Nowadays small cottage house plans are usually used by retirees whose families have moved away, or as summer vacation or weekend getaway homes by people who live in cities. Today I’m going to present a cottage house owned by the Skoglund family and where the color choice is obvious. The interior walls are consistently painted in a broken white nuance and the furnishings feels well thought-outly and carefully selected.
