

This particular house was elaborated for a couple with a growing family. It has two floors and spacious rooms with high quality interior design. However, the most important role in the project was played by the exterior which does not lack a swimming area, “fireside entertaining”, playing grounds and sport lawns.



Bates Masi Architects is a company located in Long Island whose portfolio includes school, houses, offices and furniture. They say they are not interested in the size or type of their upcoming projects, but rather in “the opportunity to enrich lives and enhance the environment”.

Beautiful European kitchens reflect both light and dark in contemporary style with mahogany hardwood floors and carpeting in bedrooms.

This is why a huge creative effort was needed in order to create this fantastic design with all the utilities included in a place surrounded by “185 hectares of forests and agricultural land”. This lovely estate was designed by Dutch architects Sluijmer & Van Leeuwen and is currently owned by the Utrecht Landscape Foundation. The villa represented a challenge from the very start. Building something in the middle of nature is not always easy, because the resources are sometimes scarce.
